How do I clean my futon after my cat has peed on it multiple times?
I have a problem with my cat eliminating outside his box. He has decided he likes the futon best now (it being next to the box and grains from the box itself getting on it dont help) and he at first was just spraying on the futon (which stopped when he was neutered but started back up). Then he began peeing on it, and this morning he pooped. I am taking him to the vet for a urinalysis, but I need to know what to do about the futon, which though free to me from a family member, is a pretty nice quality futon. I know about using enzymatic cleaners.. but do I just dump something like Nature’s Miracle on it? Do I need to blot at it after i’ve done so? Do I need to rent a handheld carpet vacuum and how much can i expect that to cost?
Even with an enzymatic cleaner, i’m worried HE will still be able to smell it and will keep going there. He has done it multiple times now and my past cleanup attempts havent helped. I am thinking I may need to throw it out..
